In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods, packages, and materials to various locations across Lagos and occasionally to surrounding areas. Your daily duties will include operating company vehicles with utmost care and professionalism, adhering strictly to all traffic laws and company safety protocols. You’ll begin your day with thorough pre-trip inspections, ensuring your vehicle is in optimal condition, and end it with detailed post-trip checks and necessary reports. Maintaining the cleanliness and general upkeep of your assigned vehicle will also be a key responsibility, reflecting our commitment to operational excellence.
Beyond the wheels, you’ll be the face of our logistics partner, engaging with clients and ensuring every delivery is handled with courtesy and efficiency. Accurate handling of delivery documentation, including waybills and proof of delivery, is crucial for seamless operations. While the primary focus is driving, you’ll also be expected to assist with the loading and unloading of goods when required, demonstrating a team player attitude.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods.
- Ensure timely delivery of packages and materials to various locations.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and report any defects.
- Maintain the cleanliness and general upkeep of the assigned vehicle.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods as required.
- Accurately complete delivery documentation, including waybills and proof of delivery.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
- Report any accidents, incidents, or unexpected delays promptly.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class E/G minimum)
- Minimum of 2 years of proven professional driving experience
- Excellent knowledge of Lagos road networks and traffic patterns
- Strong understanding and adherence to road safety regulations
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks (oil, tires, water, etc.)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Physical fitness to assist with loading and unloading goods
Preferred Qualifications
- Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSCE)
- Defensive driving certification
- Experience with logistics mobile applications or tracking systems
- First Aid certification
