Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst with a proven track record in Agile methodologies to join our dynamic team in Bodija, Ibadan. The successful candidate will play a critical role in understanding business needs, translating them into functional and technical specifications, and working collaboratively with development teams to deliver high-quality solutions. This role requires a strong analytical mind, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of Agile principles. You will be responsible for eliciting requirements, creating user stories, prioritizing tasks, and facilitating communication between stakeholders. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget, aligning with business objectives and maximizing value.
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements using various techniques such as interviews, workshops, surveys, and document analysis.
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
- Create user stories, acceptance criteria, and other Agile artifacts.
- Prioritize tasks and manage the backlog.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between stakeholders.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential risks and issues.
- Prepare and present reports on project status and progress.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Agile processes.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Proficiency in requirements gathering and documentation techniques
- Experience with business process modeling and analysis
- Experience with SQL and data analysis is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a corporate environment
- Experience working in a financial institution or similar industry is preferred
- Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum Master, Product Owner)
