Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Blockchain Developer to join our team in Maiduguri. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of blockchain technology, including various consensus mechanisms, smart contract development, and decentralized applications (dApps). You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing blockchain solutions to address our company’s business needs. This role requires a deep understanding of cryptographic principles, data structures, and algorithms, as well as experience working with various blockchain platforms such as Ethereum, Hyperledger Fabric, or Corda. You will collaborate closely with other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of blockchain-based projects. This role will be crucial in driving innovation and adoption of blockchain technology within our organization. You will be challenged with complex problems and have the autonomy to design creative solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement blockchain solutions to address business needs.
- Develop and maintain smart contracts using Solidity or other relevant languages.
- Integrate blockchain technology into existing systems and applications.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and testing to ensure the quality and security of blockchain applications.
- Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to define project requirements and deliver solutions.
- Research and evaluate new blockchain technologies and platforms.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the blockchain industry.
Required Skills
- Proficient in at least one blockchain platform (Ethereum, Hyperledger Fabric, Corda)
- Strong understanding of smart contract development (Solidity, Vyper)
- Experience with cryptographic principles and algorithms
- Experience with data structures and algorithms
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go)
- Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with decentralized applications (dApps)
- Familiarity with various consensus mechanisms (PoW, PoS, etc.)
- Experience working with distributed ledger technologies (DLT)
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
