Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee, tea, and other beverage products with precision and artistry.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
- Engage with customers in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner, taking orders and offering recommendations.
- Process transactions accurately using our POS system and handle cash or card payments.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the café area, including workstations, equipment, and dining spaces.
- Monitor and replenish inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and regulations.
- Contribute to a positive team environment, supporting colleagues as needed.
- Resolve customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and a problem-solving attitude.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar customer service role, preferably within a café or restaurant setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, including espresso extraction and milk frothing.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions and inventory.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight.
Preferred Qualifications
- A recognized food handler's certificate.
