Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Welder’s Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting experienced welders in various tasks, learning welding techniques, and contributing to a safe and efficient work environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and advance your career in the welding industry. You will work alongside a skilled team, learning practical welding techniques and contributing directly to successful project completion. Daily tasks will include preparing welding materials, cleaning and maintaining equipment, assisting with setup, and ensuring a clean workspace. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist experienced welders in all aspects of the welding process.
  • Prepare welding materials and equipment according to established procedures.
  • Clean and maintain welding equipment and workspace.
  • Transport materials and equipment as needed.
  • Follow safety regulations and procedures diligently.
  • Assist with setup and teardown of welding projects.
  • Learn and apply basic welding techniques.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of welding principles and safety procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints or schematics (basic level)
  • Ability to use hand tools and measuring equipment.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or construction environment.
  • Completion of a vocational training program in welding or a related field.
  • Possession of relevant certifications (e.g., Welding Safety Certificate)
  • Familiarity with different welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, stick welding).
