Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled welders in various tasks, including material preparation, cutting, grinding, and fitting.
- Operate and maintain basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials and equipment to and from the work area, ensuring proper handling.
- Clean and prepare surfaces for welding, ensuring they are free from contaminants and rust.
- Hold and position workpieces for welders as instructed, maintaining stability and alignment.
- Monitor welding operations for potential safety hazards and report any concerns immediately to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety protocols and procedures.
- Assist with the setup and dismantling of welding equipment, cables, and work stations.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspection of tools and equipment, reporting any malfunctions.
- Learn and understand different welding processes, materials, and essential safety practices.
- Follow blueprints, schematics, and verbal instructions from senior welders with precision.
- Support general fabrication tasks and other duties as assigned to ensure project completion.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or vocational certificate.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures and practices.
- Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and take direction from experienced professionals.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team-oriented industrial environment.
- Excellent attendance record and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to follow precise written and verbal instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, construction, or industrial setting, even in an informal capacity.

- Familiarity with common hand tools and power tools used in welding and metal fabrication.
