Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and process incoming shipments, verifying contents against shipping documents for accuracy.
- Efficiently sort, categorize, and store goods in designated warehouse locations, ensuring optimal space utilization.
- Accurately pick and pack items according to orders, preparing them for outbound shipping.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and potentially forklifts (if certified) safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all company safety protocols and procedures.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in resolving inventory discrepancies.
- Load outgoing shipments onto delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling and secure placement.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth warehouse operations and meet daily targets.
- Perform general warehouse duties as required, including waste disposal and equipment maintenance.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 25 kg, standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods and processing paperwork.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills in Japanese (verbal and understanding instructions).
- Commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
- Forklift operation license (フォークリフト運転技能講習修了証) or willingness to obtain one.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software.
- Ability to read and understand Japanese shipping labels and documentation.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
