Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming goods, verifying against purchase orders and ensuring quality control standards are met.
- Store goods in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper stacking, rotation, and strict adherence to safety guidelines and company protocols.
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to picking lists, preparing them for dispatch in a timely and efficient manner.
- Load and unload trucks, vans, and other delivery vehicles safely and efficiently, utilizing appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, including regular housekeeping, stock arrangement, and participating in inventory counts.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks (with proper certification/training) safely and proficiently.
- Collaborate closely with the logistics and distribution teams to ensure seamless and accurate order fulfillment and dispatch schedules are met.
- Report any discrepancies, damages to goods, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns to the warehouse supervisor immediately.
- Participate actively in periodic inventory audits and contribute to ongoing initiatives aimed at improving inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, operational procedures, and occupational health and safety regulations at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, demonstrating practical knowledge of operations.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25kg) regularly and safely throughout a shift.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping, order fulfillment, and inventory management.
- Basic computer literacy for interacting with inventory management systems and data entry.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and dynamic environment.
- A solid understanding of basic warehouse safety procedures and commitment to safe working practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent secondary education.
- Certification in forklift operation or other relevant warehouse material handling equipment.
- Experience with inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems) or warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Knowledge of supply chain processes and industry best practices.
- Prior experience working in a large-scale distribution center or a similar high-volume environment.
