Career.supersecrets is on the hunt for a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Team Lead to join our bustling operations in Tulsa, Oklahoma. As a Warehouse Team Lead, you will be a pivotal part of our supply chain, ensuring the smooth, efficient, and safe flow of goods from receiving to dispatch.
You will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping. We are looking for an individual who can not only manage tasks but also manage people, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Your ability to lead by example, problem-solve on the fly, and ensure adherence to safety protocols will be crucial. This role requires a hands-on approach, meaning you’ll be actively involved in operations, guiding your team, and operating equipment as needed. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse personnel, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
- Train new warehouse associates and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to the team.
- Oversee the receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of products, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with conducting regular inventory counts and reconciliations.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery, as required.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures, promoting a safe working environment.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity within the warehouse.
- Resolve operational issues and escalate complex problems to warehouse management when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse facility.
- Prepare daily reports on warehouse activities, productivity, and any issues encountered.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- 1+ year of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and safety procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and reporting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; Associate's degree or higher in a related field.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Familiarity with Lean principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
