Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor – Logistics Manager to oversee all aspects of our warehousing and logistics operations in Rulindo, Northern Province. This critical supervisory role requires a hands-on leader who can manage a diverse team, optimize inventory flow, and ensure the efficient distribution of our products. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and monitoring the receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of supply chain principles, warehouse management systems, and a proven track record of improving operational efficiency. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining stock integrity, minimizing waste, and contributing to the seamless flow of our supply chain. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, sorting, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching of products.
  • Manage and motivate a team of warehouse staff, providing training, performance feedback, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and ensure discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization to maximize efficiency and storage capacity.
  • Implement and enforce strict health, safety, and environmental standards within the warehouse facility.
  • Coordinate with procurement, production, and sales departments to ensure timely product availability and efficient delivery schedules.
  • Oversee the maintenance and operation of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and other material handling machinery.
  • Prepare regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and logistics metrics.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and local regulations related to warehousing and transportation.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in warehouse management or logistics supervision.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and develop staff.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and supply chain best practices.
  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in English and Kinyarwanda.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety standards and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or professional certification in Logistics/Supply Chain (e.g., CILT).
  • Experience in the beverage or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with SAP or other integrated ERP systems.
  • Valid driver's license with experience operating forklifts or other heavy equipment.
