Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Store Keeper to manage our warehouse inventory and ensure efficient stock control. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, and dispatching goods, maintaining accurate records, and conducting regular stock checks. This role requires a proactive individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The Warehouse Store Keeper will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our warehouse, contributing directly to our overall success. This position requires physical stamina as it involves manual handling of goods, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment. The role will report directly to the Warehouse Manager and will work closely with the logistics and delivery teams to ensure seamless inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving and verifying incoming goods against delivery notes
- Storing goods in designated areas according to established procedures
- Maintaining accurate inventory records using our warehouse management system
- Conducting regular stock checks and identifying discrepancies
- Picking and packing orders for dispatch
- Loading and unloading goods from vehicles
- Ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse
- Maintaining proper inventory levels to meet demand
- Assisting with the physical inventory count
- Complying with all health and safety regulations
Required Skills
- Inventory management
- Stock control
- Warehouse management system (WMS) experience (preferred, but not required)
- Data entry skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Good communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in Logistics or Warehouse Management
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
- Experience with forklift operation (advantageous)
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures
