Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and physically capable Warehouse Material Sorter to join our team for immediate placement in Liwa Oasis, Abu Dhabi. This full-time position is crucial to our logistics and supply chain operations, ensuring that materials are accurately sorted, organized, and prepared for dispatch or storage. The successful candidate will be a vital part of a fast-paced environment, contributing to the efficient flow of goods, primarily focusing on agricultural produce and related supplies relevant to the region’s prominent industries. Key Responsibilities
- Receive and offload incoming materials, verifying quantities against documentation.
- Sort and categorize materials accurately according to established procedures (e.g., by type, size, destination, expiry date).
- Identify and report any damaged, defective, or missing items immediately.
- Transport sorted materials to designated storage areas using appropriate equipment (e.g., hand trucks, pallet jacks).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including aisles, sorting areas, and storage locations.
- Operate scanning equipment to track material movement and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Assist with loading outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging and secure placement.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety guidelines and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and resolve issues.
- Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25 kg) repetitively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in sorting and counting.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to read labels and documents.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
- Reliability and strong work ethic.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or handheld scanners.
