Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of fresh produce.
- Implement and enforce efficient inventory control procedures, ensuring accuracy and optimal stock levels using an advanced WMS.
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
- Optimise warehouse layout and space utilisation to maximise storage capacity and workflow efficiency.
- Monitor and maintain cold chain integrity for perishable goods, ensuring product quality and minimising spoilage.
- Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and sales departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
- Conduct regular safety audits and training to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Prepare regular reports on warehouse performance, including inventory levels, throughput, and operational costs.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in warehouse management, preferably within the agricultural or FMCG sector.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities with a track record of motivating and developing staff.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Demonstrated ability to implement and improve operational processes.
- Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to warehousing.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
