Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently load and unload trucks, containers, and vans with various products and materials.
- Operate manual and powered material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, if certified) safely and proficiently.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against manifests or invoices to ensure accuracy.
- Safely stack and organize goods in designated warehouse areas to maximize space and accessibility.
- Perform routine checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering strictly to company safety protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and meet operational deadlines.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as required.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially those related to health and safety.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, particularly in loading/unloading.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects repeatedly (up to 25 kg) and perform strenuous physical tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills for reading manifests and instructions.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Reliability and punctuality, especially for night shift schedules.
- Commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures.
