In this critical role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of our products, playing a key part in our supply chain. You will be responsible for the safe and timely loading and unloading of goods, adhering strictly to safety protocols and company standards. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks, containers, and other transport vehicles using appropriate manual and mechanical equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
- Inspect incoming and outgoing products for damage, quantity accuracy, and proper labeling, reporting any discrepancies immediately.
- Organize and stack goods in designated warehouse locations, ensuring optimal space utilization and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records of goods moved.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified) in a safe and responsible manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the warehouse, including sweeping, clearing pathways, and disposing of waste properly.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and truck drivers to ensure seamless operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor to support overall warehouse operations.
Required Skills
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25kg) repeatedly.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to read labels and count inventory.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (at least 6 months) in a warehouse, logistics, or similar physical labor role.
- Familiarity with basic warehouse operations and procedures.
- Possession of a valid forklift operator's certificate (an added advantage).
- Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent.
