Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate delivery vehicles to transport goods from the warehouse to designated locations.
- Load, unload, and secure items within the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper handling and protection.
- Verify order accuracy and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery and pickup.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules, adapting to traffic and road conditions as needed.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and records.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with warehouse staff, dispatchers, and customers.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Assist with general warehouse duties during downtime, such as organizing inventory or preparing shipments.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian driver's license (Class E or G, or equivalent for commercial vehicles)
- Ability to read and understand maps and GPS directions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 25 kg.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina to handle repetitive lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
