Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pack and label various goods according to specific client instructions, shipping requirements, and company standards.
- Verify product counts, descriptions, and batch numbers against picking lists and order documentation.
- Operate essential warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely and efficiently, after appropriate training, as needed.
- Assist with the receiving of incoming shipments, including inspection for damage and verification of contents against manifests.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, strictly adhering to company safety protocols and health regulations.
- Support inventory management activities, including stock rotation, relocation, and assisting with cycle counting.
- Prepare goods for dispatch, ensuring correct documentation is attached and loading procedures are followed.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to achieve daily operational goals and deadlines.
- Promptly report any discrepancies, product damages, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns to supervisory staff.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all packing and labelling tasks.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 25 kg regularly.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading labels, understanding instructions, and counting items.
- Reliable, punctual, and possessing a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative member of a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe and hazard-free working environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (at least 6 months) in a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or similar fast-paced operational environment.
- Familiarity with basic inventory management systems or general computer literacy.
- Certification in operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) is a distinct advantage.
- A basic understanding of supply chain principles and warehouse operations.
