Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming goods, verify against purchase orders, and accurately record inventory.
- Efficiently store products in designated locations, ensuring proper rotation and accessibility.
- Pick and pack orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
- Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts if certified) safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment at all times.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with stock reconciliation.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks and other vehicles.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety hazards to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25kg) regularly.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.
- Basic mathematical skills for counting and inventory checks.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Understanding of basic safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Matric / Grade 12 qualification or equivalent.
- Previous experience (6-12 months) in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus.
- Valid forklift operator's license (advantageous, but not required for initial application).
- Knowledge of agricultural products or general retail inventory.
