Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly with a friendly disposition.
- Present menus and provide detailed information when asked (e.g., about portions, ingredients, or potential food allergies).
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using our POS system and communicate them effectively to the kitchen.
- Serve food and beverage orders to guests in a timely and professional manner, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Clear tables efficiently, wash dishes, and maintain a clean and organized dining area throughout service.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, patience, and a problem-solving attitude.
- Collaborate seamlessly with kitchen staff and other waitstaff to ensure smooth and efficient service flow.
- Prepare tables for new guests by setting linens, silverware, and glasses according to restaurant standards.
- Assist in opening and closing duties of the restaurant, including cleaning, stocking, and general setup/breakdown.
- Process payments accurately using the cash register or POS system, handling cash and card transactions responsibly.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service skills with a genuine desire to help others.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, both verbal and non-verbal.
- Ability to work efficiently and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods, and carry trays.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in order taking and service delivery.
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change.

- High level of personal hygiene and cleanliness standards.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6 months to 1 year) as waitstaff or in a similar customer service role within the hospitality industry.
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Ability to speak multiple local languages (e.g., Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa) is a significant advantage.
- High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
