Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and seat guests in the dining area, presenting menus and daily specials with confidence and clarity.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders, offering recommendations and answering questions regarding menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly and professionally to tables and guest rooms, adhering to established service standards and protocols.
- Set up and reset dining tables with appropriate linens, silverware, glassware, and condiments, ensuring impeccable presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, service stations, and equipment throughout shifts, including proper waste disposal.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any complaints or concerns promptly and courteously, escalating complex issues to management when necessary.
- Process guest payments accurately, handling cash and card transactions in compliance with company procedures and security guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other service personnel to ensure seamless operations and timely service delivery.
- Assist with inventory and stock management of dining supplies as required, reporting shortages or damaged items.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and standards, including proper food handling techniques.
- Prepare and deliver room service orders, ensuring presentation and accuracy are maintained to the highest standard, checking for special requests.
- Anticipate guest needs to enhance the dining experience, offering refills or additional items proactively and discretely.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 1 year) as waitstaff or in a similar customer service role, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly, professional, and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and service quality.
- Strong attention to detail and a steadfast commitment to maintaining high service standards and guest satisfaction.
- Basic mathematical skills for handling payments, making change, and calculating bills accurately.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods, as well as lift moderate weights.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with POS (Point of Sale) systems for order entry and payment processing.
- Knowledge of food and beverage safety regulations and practices.
