Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon their arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders, noting any special requests or dietary restrictions.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently and gracefully, ensuring correct presentation and temperature.
- Monitor guest satisfaction, promptly addressing any concerns or requests.
- Clear tables, reset them for the next guests, and maintain cleanliness of the dining area.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and card transactions.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and beverage offerings.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Waiter or Server in a fast-paced restaurant setting (at least 6 months).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Good physical stamina and ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Basic math skills for handling payments.
- Fluent in English (verbal communication).
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of local Nigerian cuisine and beverages.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality establishment offering room and board.
