Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests warmly, escorting them to their tables and presenting menus.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders, providing detailed explanations and recommendations.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, adhering to all service standards.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking on tables regularly and responding promptly to requests or concerns.
- Process payments accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service flow.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down dining areas for service.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Handle guest complaints or issues with professionalism and escalate when necessary.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a restaurant setting (minimum 6 months).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages (e.g., Yoruba) is a plus.
