Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, screen, interview, and onboard new volunteers, ensuring they are a good fit for specific programs and the organization’s values.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training sessions for volunteers on organizational policies, program objectives, safety protocols, and specific task requirements.
- Create and manage volunteer schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all programs and events.
- Act as the primary point of contact for volunteers, addressing inquiries, providing support, and resolving any issues or conflicts that may arise.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date volunteer records, including contact information, hours worked, training completed, and feedback.
- Organize volunteer recognition events and appreciation activities to foster a positive and motivating volunteer environment.
- Assist in the development and implementation of volunteer program policies, procedures, and evaluation metrics.
- Collaborate with program managers to identify volunteer needs and develop new volunteer opportunities that align with organizational goals.
- Prepare regular reports on volunteer activities, contributions, and program impact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent the organization at community events, recruitment fairs, and networking opportunities to attract new volunteers.
- Ensure all volunteer activities comply with relevant legal and ethical standards.
