In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in conceptualizing, shooting, and editing high-quality video content that resonates with our clients’ target audiences and elevates their brand presence across various digital platforms. From short-form social media clips to longer promotional videos, you will manage the entire video production lifecycle, ensuring each piece aligns with client objectives and our agency’s high standards. Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, storyboard, and plan video shoots in collaboration with clients and the marketing team.
- Operate professional video cameras, lighting, and audio equipment to capture high-quality footage on location.
- Conduct interviews and direct talent during shoots to elicit desired performances and narratives.
- Edit raw footage into polished, engaging video content, incorporating graphics, music, and sound effects.
- Ensure all video content adheres to brand guidelines, client specifications, and platform best practices (e.g., aspect ratios for Instagram Reels, YouTube, etc.).
- Manage video assets, including organization, archiving, and maintenance of equipment.
- Stay updated with the latest video production trends, techniques, and software.
- Collaborate with social media managers and graphic designers to integrate video seamlessly into broader content strategies.
- Provide creative input and recommendations for enhancing video quality and impact.
- Travel to various client locations within the greater San Diego area for shoots as required.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in professional video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
- Demonstrable experience with camera operation, lighting techniques, and audio recording.
- Strong understanding of video storytelling and composition principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Portfolio demonstrating a range of video production projects.
- Familiarity with various social media platforms and their video content requirements.
- Time management and organizational skills to meet tight deadlines.
