Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement vendor management strategies aligned with corporate objectives and business unit needs.
- Identify, evaluate, and select new vendors, conducting thorough due diligence, risk assessments, and capability analyses.
- Negotiate, review, and manage vendor contracts, ensuring favorable terms, compliance with legal requirements, and adherence to company policies.
- Monitor vendor performance against established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and contractual obligations.
- Conduct regular business reviews with key vendors to discuss performance, resolve issues, identify areas for improvement, and foster strategic alignment.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives with vendors, focusing on cost reduction, quality enhancement, process optimization, and innovation adoption.
- Resolve vendor disputes, performance issues, and contractual disagreements promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate extensively with internal stakeholders (Procurement, Legal, IT, Business Units) to ensure seamless vendor integration, support, and alignment with project goals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records and documentation, including contracts, performance reports, audit findings, and compliance certificates.
- Analyze market trends, supplier landscapes, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities and potential risks within the supply chain.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal policies, industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO standards), and ethical procurement standards.
- Manage vendor relationships proactively to build strong, collaborative, and resilient partnerships.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in vendor management, procurement, supply chain management, or a closely related role within a complex organization.
- Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities, with a data-driven approach.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, SAP, or similar ERP/SCM systems).
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a cross-functional and international team.
- Fluent in English and German (written and spoken) is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of legal and contractual frameworks pertinent to vendor agreements and procurement.
