As a UX Designer at Andela, you will champion the user throughout the product development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive user research (e.g., interviews, surveys, usability tests) to understand user behaviors, needs, and motivations.
- Translate research findings into user personas, journey maps, and empathy maps.
- Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to visualize and communicate design concepts.
- Design intuitive and aesthetically pleasing interfaces for web and mobile applications.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Facilitate design workshops and ideation sessions to generate innovative solutions.
- Present and articulate design decisions and rationale to stakeholders, incorporating feedback effectively.
- Develop and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across products.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX/UI design.
- Continuously iterate on designs based on user feedback, analytics, and business requirements.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user-centered design principles and processes.
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Solid understanding of user research methodologies and usability testing.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, agile development environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience designing for both web and mobile platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
