Job Description
Bayut is seeking a passionate and analytical User Research Specialist to join our growing Product team in Dubai. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in unearthing deep insights into our users’ behaviors, needs, and motivations. You will design, conduct, and synthesize various user research studies to inform product strategy, design decisions, and ultimately enhance the overall user experience on Bayut’s platforms. This role requires a blend of methodological rigor, empathy, and a proactive approach to understanding complex user journeys in the dynamic real estate market. You will work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, data analysts, and engineers, translating research findings into actionable recommendations that drive meaningful product improvements. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and execute a wide range of qualitative and quantitative user research studies, including but not limited to, user interviews, usability testing, surveys, field studies, card sorting, tree testing, and A/B test analysis.
- Identify research questions and the most appropriate methods to address them, ensuring rigorous and ethical research practices.
- Recruit and screen participants, managing logistics for research sessions.
- Analyze research data to identify key themes, patterns, and insights that inform product development and design.
- Prepare and present compelling research findings, user stories, and actionable recommendations to diverse stakeholders, including product, design, and engineering teams.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and developers to integrate user insights into the product lifecycle from conceptualization to launch.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our target users, their contexts, and the competitive landscape.
- Contribute to the development of our user research repository, best practices, and overall research capabilities.
- Advocate for user-centered design principles across the organization and foster a research-driven culture.
- Continuously learn and apply new research methodologies and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of our research practice.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (4+ years) in conducting user research for digital products.
- Strong command of various qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
- Proficiency in data analysis and synthesis, translating raw data into clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Demonstrated empathy for users and a passion for understanding human behavior.
- Familiarity with UX research tools (e.g., UserTesting, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Miro, Figma).
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in HCI, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Design, or a related field.
- Experience working in the e-commerce or online marketplace industry, particularly real estate.
- Proficiency in Arabic or other regional languages.
- Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R) for quantitative research.
