Key Responsibilities
- Develop, prepare, and deliver engaging lectures, seminars, tutorials, and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students using innovative teaching methodologies.
- Design, prepare, and rigorously mark assignments, examinations, and other forms of assessment, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and theses, offering comprehensive guidance and mentorship from inception to completion.
- Conduct independent and collaborative research leading to high-quality publications in reputable national and international peer-reviewed journals.
- Actively seek and secure research grants and external funding opportunities to support departmental and personal research initiatives.
- Participate actively in curriculum development, review, and accreditation processes to ensure academic relevance and quality.
- Provide academic and pastoral support to students, including comprehensive mentorship, academic advising, and career guidance.
- Attend and contribute meaningfully to departmental, faculty, and university-wide meetings, committees, and academic events.
- Engage in continuous professional development, staying abreast of advancements in your field and pedagogical best practices.
- Contribute to community service initiatives and university outreach programs, demonstrating a commitment to societal impact.
Required Skills
- Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, for effective communication and scholarly discourse.
- Strong pedagogical skills and demonstrable experience in higher education teaching and curriculum delivery.
