Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end UX/UI design process from concept to implementation for new features and products.
- Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to inform design decisions.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and sitemaps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Develop high-fidelity prototypes and mockups to illustrate product functionality.
- Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces, ensuring consistency with Adyen's design system and brand guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders within a remote team environment to define, design, and implement innovative solutions.
- Iterate on designs based on user feedback, data analysis, and technical constraints.
- Advocate for user-centered design principles throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, design tools, and best practices to continually improve our design processes.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience as a UI/UX Designer, Product Designer, or similar role.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of projects, demonstrating expertise in user research, UI design, UX design, and visual design.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and usability heuristics.
- Experience with conducting user research, including qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions effectively to a remote team and diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile, remote-first environment.
- Demonstrated experience designing complex web and mobile applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience working in the FinTech, payments, or e-commerce industry.
- Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to understand technical constraints and possibilities.
- Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system.
- Basic motion graphics or animation skills for prototyping interactive elements.
