Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport goods across Camden, London, and surrounding areas.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or issues immediately.
- Ensure loads are properly secured and adhere to weight distribution guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Adhere strictly to all UK driving laws, HGV regulations, and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service during collection and delivery interactions.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods as required, ensuring their safe handling.
- Manage your driving hours effectively, complying with driver's hours regulations and tachograph rules.
- Keep the vehicle clean and tidy, performing minor maintenance checks as needed.
Required Skills
- Valid HGV Class 1 (CE) or Class 2 (C) driving license for a minimum of 2 years.
- Clean driving record with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Demonstrable experience as a professional truck driver.
- Full Driver CPC qualification.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Excellent knowledge of UK road networks and traffic regulations, especially within London.
- Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).
- Physical fitness to perform duties including lifting, loading, and extended periods of driving.
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol screenings.
