Are you a dependable and safety-conscious individual with a clean driving record, looking for a vital role in local logistics? Gordon Food Service is seeking a dedicated Truck Driver for our Non-CDL Routes in the bustling Highlands area of Louisville. In this full-time, on-site position, you will be instrumental in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of our quality food and supply products to our valued customers within a defined local service area. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company-owned non-CDL vehicles for local deliveries to customer locations.
- Load and unload food and supply products, verifying accuracy against delivery manifests.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company driving policies.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle inspection reports, and other required documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing inquiries professionally.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of assigned vehicle.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years (24 months) of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Valid state-issued Driver's License with a clean driving record (no major infractions).
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly and maneuver heavy objects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in foodservice delivery or route-based delivery.
- Familiarity with the Highlands, Louisville area and surrounding routes.
- Experience using handheld devices for delivery tracking and signature capture.
