Key Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging and informative tours of Yangoji, Abuja, and surrounding areas, highlighting key historical, cultural, and natural attractions.
- Share accurate and compelling historical, cultural, and contemporary information with tour participants.
- Ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of all tour group members throughout the duration of the tour.
- Efficiently manage tour logistics, including adherence to schedules, routes, and designated meeting points.
- Adapt tour content, pace, and interaction style to suit the diverse interests, ages, and dynamics of various groups.
- Provide exceptional customer service, promptly addressing questions, concerns, and special requests with professionalism and a positive attitude.
- Maintain a high level of enthusiasm, energy, and professionalism, serving as a positive ambassador for the local area and our brand.
- Stay continuously updated on local attractions, events, changes in public access, and relevant news that might impact tours.
- Handle minor emergencies or unforeseen circumstances calmly, effectively, and in accordance with established protocols.
Required Skills
- Fluent in English with exceptional verbal communication and public speaking skills (proficiency in local languages is a significant asset).
- Extensive, verifiable knowledge of Yangoji, Abuja's history, culture, geography, and contemporary life.
- Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to engage, entertain, and manage diverse groups of people.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities to ensure smooth tour operations.
- Proven problem-solving skills and adaptability to dynamic and unpredictable environments.
- Valid driver's license (preferred for certain tour types).
- Basic First Aid and CPR certification (desirable).
