Key Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and execute engaging and informative tours tailored to various interests (e.g., historical, cultural, food, nature).
- Lead groups of tourists, ensuring their safety, comfort, and enjoyment throughout the tour.
- Share comprehensive knowledge of Gwagwalada’s history, culture, landmarks, and local anecdotes.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing guest inquiries and needs promptly and professionally.
- Manage tour logistics, including timing, routes, and meeting points.
- Adapt tour content and pace to suit the group’s demographics and interests.
- Promote local businesses and attractions responsibly and ethically.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times.
- Handle unexpected situations or emergencies calmly and efficiently.
- Gather feedback from participants to continuously improve tour offerings.
Required Skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English and at least one local language (e.g., Hausa, Gbagyi, Pidgin English)
- Extensive knowledge of Gwagwalada, Abuja, including its history, culture, and attractions
- Strong storytelling and presentation abilities
