Key Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan repayments, while adhering to all established procedures.
- Accurately verify cash counts at the beginning and end of each shift, ensuring all transactions balance.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of the institution's products and services to effectively assist customers and identify opportunities for cross-selling.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve minor issues promptly and courteously, escalating complex problems to the appropriate department.
- Educate customers on various financial products and services offered, promoting digital banking solutions and other relevant offerings.
- Ensure strict adherence to all anti-money laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), and other regulatory compliance requirements.
- Safeguard the institution's assets by following security protocols and maintaining confidentiality of customer information.
- Accurately complete all necessary transaction forms and maintain organized records.
- Actively participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, assisting colleagues as needed.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in cash handling and reconciliation, preferably within a banking or microfinance environment.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Strong numerical aptitude and ability to perform quick calculations.
- Unquestionable integrity, honesty, and ethical conduct.

Preferred Qualifications
- OND/HND/B.Sc. in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience as a Teller or in a similar customer service role within a financial institution (minimum 6 months).
- Familiarity with local market dynamics and community needs in Misau, Bauchi.
- Ability to speak local languages common in Misau (e.g., Hausa) is a plus.
