Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and development of scalable, secure, and high-performance telemedicine platforms and features.
- Translate complex business requirements and clinical needs into detailed technical specifications and architectural blueprints.
- Ensure the technical solutions align with MedGrocer’s strategic vision, industry best practices, and regulatory compliance (e.g., DOH, NPC).
- Collaborate with product management, engineering, DevOps, and clinical teams to define technical roadmaps and project scopes.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate technology stacks, cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP), third-party integrations, and API strategies.
- Design and oversee the implementation of robust data models, security protocols, and privacy safeguards for sensitive health information.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Conduct architectural reviews, identify potential risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, healthcare industry trends, and regulatory changes relevant to telemedicine.
- Drive continuous improvement in architectural patterns, system performance, and operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Solutions Architect or Lead Software Engineer role, with at least 2 years focused on healthcare or telemedicine.
- Proven expertise in designing and building scalable, distributed systems on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong understanding of modern architectural patterns (microservices, event-driven, API-first).
- Proficiency in at least one major programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js, Go).
- Experience with database design (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling.
- Deep knowledge of security best practices, data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA, DPA), and compliance in healthcare.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead technical discussions and influence stakeholders at various levels.
