As a Telehealth Nurse Practitioner, you will play a critical role in expanding access to care, delivering virtual consultations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for a diverse patient population across various states (as licensed).
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive virtual health assessments, diagnosing and treating common acute and chronic conditions, and developing individualized patient care plans using state-of-the-art telehealth technology. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive virtual health assessments, evaluations, and patient consultations via secure telehealth platforms.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of common acute and chronic medical conditions, providing evidence-based care.
- Order, interpret, and act upon diagnostic tests, laboratory results, and imaging studies.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including appropriate medication management and referrals.
- Educate patients on health conditions, preventative care, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, specialists, and support staff, to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Provide timely follow-up care, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
- Active, unencumbered Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in Oklahoma.
- National Board Certification (ANCC or AANP) as a Family, Adult-Gerontology, or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner, preferably in primary care, urgent care, emergency medicine, or a telehealth setting.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and secure telehealth platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex medical information clearly and empathetically.
- Strong diagnostic reasoning, critical thinking, and clinical judgment abilities.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage a diverse patient caseload efficiently, and adapt to a fast-paced virtual environment.
- Strong technical aptitude and comfortability with various digital tools and platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multiple telehealth technologies and software.
- Active DEA registration.
- Multi-state licensure or willingness to obtain licensure in additional states.
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) to serve a diverse patient population.
- Previous experience working in a fully remote or hybrid healthcare setting.
