Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive virtual patient assessments, including history taking, physical exams (via visual inspection and patient interview), and diagnostic ordering.
- Diagnose and treat common acute illnesses, chronic conditions, and provide preventative care within the scope of practice via telemedicine.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, prescribe medications, and order appropriate diagnostic tests and referrals.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medication management, and self-care strategies to promote health and wellness.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough electronic health records (EHRs) in compliance with all regulatory and company standards.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
- Adhere strictly to all telehealth best practices, state and federal regulations, and professional ethical guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education pertinent to telehealth and advanced nursing practice.
Required Skills
- Active, unencumbered Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the state of Ohio.
- National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., ANCC, AANP) in a relevant specialty.
- Current DEA registration.
- Master's or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 3 years of post-licensure clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong emphasis on virtual patient interaction.
- Exceptional clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience providing care in a telehealth or remote setting.
- Prior experience in primary care, urgent care, or behavioral health.
- Multiple state licenses for Nurse Practitioner practice.
