You will be responsible for conducting virtual consultations, assessing patient health, diagnosing illnesses, prescribing medication, and developing treatment plans. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive virtual patient assessments, including history taking, symptom review, and physical examination (as appropriate for telehealth).
- Diagnose acute and chronic illnesses, interpret diagnostic tests, and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and other therapies in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide patient education on disease prevention, health promotion, and medication management.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
- Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and ensure patient privacy and data security.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain current licensure and certifications.
- Effectively utilize telehealth technology to provide seamless patient interactions and ensure clinical efficiency.
- Manage patient follow-ups and referrals to specialists as necessary.
Required Skills
- Current, unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license in Oregon.
- Master's or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited program.
- ANCC or AANP board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP), or similar.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner in primary care, urgent care, or emergency medicine.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse patient caseload effectively.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a private, quiet home office environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with virtual care delivery and remote patient monitoring.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish).
- Comfort and experience with a wide range of patient demographics and complex cases.
- Familiarity with value-based care models.
- Active DEA registration.
