Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive virtual health assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations (as appropriate via telehealth), and psychosocial evaluations.
- Diagnose and treat common acute illnesses, injuries, and stable chronic conditions using evidence-based practice guidelines.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results to formulate accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications, refills, and other therapies in accordance with state and federal regulations and company protocols.
- Provide patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and medication management, ensuring understanding and compliance.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough electronic health records (EHR) of all patient encounters.
- Collaborate with supervising physicians, specialists, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and continuous patient care.
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and peer review processes.
- Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Stay current with best practices in telehealth, clinical guidelines, and licensure requirements.
Required Skills
- Current, unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license in Nebraska.
- Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP), or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP).
- Master's or Doctoral Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in primary care, urgent care, or emergency medicine settings.
- Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong patient empathy.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage time effectively, and make sound clinical judgments in a remote setting.
- Technologically savvy with a stable high-speed internet connection and a private, quiet home office environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience specifically in a telehealth or virtual care delivery model.
