Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive virtual health assessments, including medical history review, symptom evaluation, and physical examination (as appropriate via telehealth).
- Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and health conditions using established clinical protocols and evidence-based practice.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and lab results to formulate accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with state and federal regulations and scope of practice.
- Provide patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborate with referring providers, specialists, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough electronic health records (EHR) documentation for all patient encounters.
- Adhere to all legal, ethical, and professional standards of practice, including HIPAA compliance and telehealth best practices.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in New York (or ability to obtain).
- ANCC or AANP Board Certification as an Adult, Family, or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
- DEA registration or eligibility for registration.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong patient-centric approach.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage a diverse patient caseload effectively.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and diagnostic abilities.
- Comfortable with technology and adaptable to new digital tools.
