Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive virtual patient assessments, including history taking, physical exams (as appropriate for telehealth), and diagnostic test interpretation.
- Formulate accurate diagnoses and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions.
- Prescribe medications, adhering to state and federal regulations, and manage medication regimens effectively.
- Provide patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and self-management strategies.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs, imaging, and specialty referrals, integrating results into patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) documentation for all patient encounters.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and specialists to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
- Utilize telehealth technology proficiently to ensure a seamless virtual care experience for patients.
Required Skills
- Current, unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license in Washington State.
- Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Proven experience in telehealth or virtual care delivery.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- DEA registration (or eligible to obtain) and prescriptive authority.
Preferred Qualifications
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Adult-Gerontology, or Psychiatric Mental Health.
- Experience with specific telehealth platforms or EMRs such as Epic, Cerner, or Teladoc.
- Multi-state licensure or eligibility for licensure in additional states.
