Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive virtual health assessments, including medical history review, symptom evaluation, and risk factor identification.
- Diagnose and treat common acute illnesses, chronic conditions, and provide preventative care through telemedicine platforms.
- Prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results in accordance with state regulations and clinical guidelines.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, including referrals to specialists or higher levels of care when necessary.
- Provide patient education on health maintenance, disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive electronic health records (EHR) of all patient interactions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and integrated patient care.
- Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations, professional ethics, and organizational policies regarding patient privacy and data security.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices in telehealth and nursing.
Required Skills
- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license (APRN) in Florida.
- Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Board Certification as an Adult, Family, or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANP).
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and teleconferencing software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong active listening abilities.
- Strong diagnostic, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize patient needs in a remote setting.
