Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough virtual patient assessments and examinations, reviewing medical history and symptoms.
- Accurately diagnose and treat a wide range of common acute and chronic conditions via telehealth platforms.
- Prescribe medications and other treatments in strict accordance with New York state regulations and best practices.
- Provide comprehensive patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and medication management.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, making referrals to specialists when necessary.
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely electronic health records (EHRs) for all patient encounters.
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and specialists, as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Adhere strictly to all HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality guidelines.
- Manage a diverse patient caseload efficiently while maintaining high standards of care.
Required Skills
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the State of New York.
- Current Board Certification (ANCC or AANP).
- Master's or Doctorate Degree in Nursing (MSN/DNP) from an accredited program.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner in a clinical setting.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
