Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive health assessments, diagnose, and treat common acute and chronic illnesses via secure telehealth platforms.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with state laws and clinical guidelines.
- Provide patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and medication management.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough electronic health records (EHR) documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, specialists, and support staff, to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Adhere to all regulatory standards, ethical guidelines, and company policies for telehealth practice.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities.
- Manage patient follow-ups, referrals, and urgent care needs as appropriate.
- Ensure a high level of patient satisfaction through compassionate and professional interactions.
Required Skills
- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Virginia (or eligible for licensure).
- Master's or Doctoral Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP), or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of direct patient care experience as a licensed Nurse Practitioner.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong emphasis on empathy and active listening.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage a diverse patient caseload effectively.
