Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive virtual patient assessments, including history taking, physical examination (where applicable via telehealth tools), and psychosocial evaluation.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses within the scope of practice and established protocols.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, including prescribing medications, ordering diagnostic tests, and recommending therapeutic interventions.
- Provide patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, medication management, and self-care strategies.
- Document all patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, specialists, and support staff to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations, professional standards, and company policies related to telehealth practice and patient privacy.
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to maintain licensure and enhance clinical skills.
- Manage patient follow-ups, referrals, and medication refills efficiently through virtual channels.
Required Skills
- Current, unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license in the state of California.
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., FNP, AGPCNP, PNP).
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in primary care, urgent care, or a similar setting.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong patient-centered approach.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a virtual caseload effectively.
- Strong diagnostic and critical thinking skills.
