Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive virtual patient assessments, including history taking, physical exams (as appropriate for telehealth), and diagnostic interpretation.
- Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and health conditions using evidence-based practice guidelines.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, including prescribing medications, ordering diagnostic tests, and initiating referrals to specialists when necessary.
- Provide health education, counseling, and guidance to patients on preventive care, disease management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with all regulatory and company standards.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, other NPs, PAs, and support staff, to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Adhere to all state and federal telehealth regulations, ethical guidelines, and company policies, ensuring patient privacy and data security.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with telemedicine advancements and clinical best practices.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide appropriate medical advice and support through secure communication channels.
Required Skills
- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Minnesota (and eligibility for additional state licensures as required).
- Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP), or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP).
- Minimum of 2 years of direct clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a primary care, urgent care, or emergency medicine setting.
- Proficiency in utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and virtual communication platforms.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong patient-centric approach.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, exercise sound clinical judgment, and manage complex cases effectively in a remote setting.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated, private home workspace.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a telehealth or remote patient care environment.
