Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive virtual patient assessments, including history taking and physical exams via telehealth platforms.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions, developing evidence-based treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results in accordance with state regulations and company protocols.
- Provide patient education on disease management, preventative care, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely electronic health records (EHRs).
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with telehealth best practices and clinical guidelines.
- Manage patient follow-ups and referrals to specialists when appropriate.
Required Skills
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in California (APRN).
- National board certification (ANCC or AANP).
- DEA registration and prescriptive authority.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a primary care, urgent care, or emergency medicine setting.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic reasoning abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage a virtual patient caseload effectively.
- Comfortable with technology and quick to adapt to new software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience specifically in a telehealth or remote care role.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish) is a plus.
