Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive virtual health assessments, including medical history reviews and symptom evaluations.
- Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions via teleconsultation.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, making appropriate referrals to specialists when necessary.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies.
- Provide patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with telehealth best practices and clinical guidelines.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and ensure patient confidentiality and data security.
- Manage a caseload of patients effectively, ensuring timely follow-ups and continuity of care.
Required Skills
- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Texas.
- Master's or Doctorate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- ANCC or AANP board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP).
- Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong patient-centered focus.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of empathy, cultural competence, and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a telehealth or remote care setting.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish) is a plus.
- Experience with chronic disease management and preventive care.
- Additional state licenses (multi-state compact licensure is a plus).
