Key Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual health assessments, diagnoses, and develop treatment plans for a diverse patient population.
- Prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results in accordance with state regulations and scope of practice.
- Provide comprehensive health education, counseling, and preventative care advice to patients via telehealth platforms.
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely electronic health records (EHR) of all patient interactions.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Adhere strictly to all HIPAA guidelines and maintain the highest level of patient confidentiality.
- Manage a caseload of patients, ensuring timely follow-ups and ongoing care management.
- Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing continuing education relevant to telehealth practices.
Required Skills
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in California.
- Master's or Doctorate Degree in Nursing (MSN/DNP) from an accredited institution.
- Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP), or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner.
- Proficiency with various telehealth platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong patient-facing etiquette.
- Strong diagnostic and critical thinking abilities, capable of independent decision-making.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively in a fast-paced remote setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience (1+ years) in a telehealth or remote care delivery setting.
