Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior tailors with garment preparation, including cutting, pinning, and marking fabrics.
- Perform basic machine and hand sewing tasks such as hemming, seaming, and buttonhole creation.
- Support in taking measurements and assisting with fittings, ensuring accuracy and client comfort.
- Press and steam garments to achieve professional finishes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace, including equipment and supply management.
- Handle fabric inventory, including receiving, sorting, and storing materials.
- Assist with customer interactions, order tracking, and scheduling appointments.
- Learn and adapt to various tailoring techniques and styles, both traditional and contemporary.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of sewing techniques (hand and/or machine).
- Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
